Needing a Change to Budget
- Submit a list that shows which revenue and expenditure accounts will increase and by how much and a list that shows which revenue and expenditure accounts will decrease and by how much.
- To support this change, provide supplementary documents to CD (ext. 1303 or chris.crepps@montgomerycountync.com). For example, if a grant has been awarded, provide documents that explain the grant budget and terms.
- Normally, if the budget request is complete when received, the changes will be updated to the financial system within one week unless Board approval is needed. However, any budget request may be delayed if sufficient documentation has not been received.
- To identify whether a request has been updated, sign into the financial system and separately inquire by each ten-digit account number (e.g. 1134515210). View transaction details to see a list of budget changes made. Another option is to print a trial balance report with details for all accounts within your department and search through the activity on the report to identify budget changes made.
