We hope that this email finds you well and healthy!
As you may have already heard or seen on social media, the Rochester Regional
Health Flower City Challenge is coming back on June 19th & 20th! While
the event will look quite a bit different in 2021, then it has in years past,
we are so excited to bring more live races back to the Rochester running
calendar.
These are some of the ways that 2021 will look different than previous years,
the start and finish lines will be in Genesee Valley Park at the request of
the City of Rochester, and the event will be split over 2 days allowing you
to choose your race day. In keeping with our COVID-19 guidelines, these
include: masks must be worn at the start/finish, post-race food will be in
prepackaged grab & go bags. There will not be any spectators and there
will be multiple start waves for you to choose from to allow for social
distancing.
This email is going to be pretty long to cover everyone's options, so please
bear with me.
The below options will be available starting Monday, April 19th, at NOON!
Now, let's get to the options for your deferred registration based on which
event you were registered for.
If you deferred your Flower City
Challenge registration (that's Half Marathon or 5K) in 2020
• You can claim your deferred registration and run on June 19th or June 20th
• You can defer to 2022's event by doing NOTHING now (you will have to
claim your registration next year)
If you deferred your Flower City Challenge
Half Marathon Relay registration in 2020
• Team Captains can claim your deferred registration and create your
relay team on either June 19th or 20th. Your teammates will need to claim
their deferral AFTER you create the team so that they can join your
team.
• You can defer to 2022's event by doing NOTHING now (you will have to
claim your registration next year)
• If your teammate is going to be different this year, after you claim your
deferral and create your team, then email Luen@yellowjacketracing.com
so that we can give your new teammate access to join your relay team.

How to Claim your Registration
• Log into your RunSignUp.com account
• Go to your profile
• Scroll down and click on the "Deferrals" tab
• Find Flower City Challenge (it may say Virtual after it)
• Click "Complete Deferral"
• Transfer your 2020 registration to 2021
• Make your way through the registration process.
• NO money should be exchanged. - If you are being asked to pay and did NOT
add any additional events, please STOP and email us! Do NOT complete your
registration!

• Registration will close at 11:59pm on June 1st!
• Registration for the half marathon and 5K will be open to the general
public, so encourage your friends/family to join you!
• If you prefer, there are virtual options for both the half marathon and 5K.
